Service overview
Diagnosis of car electrical, battery and charging faults, and repair of AC and weak-cooling problems.
This service covers faults in the car's electrical system, from the battery, charging and starting to lights, wiring and accessories, as well as air-conditioning problems such as weak cooling or warm air.
The fault is traced first, so parts are only replaced once the cause is confirmed.
- Battery, charging and starting faults
- Lights, wiring and accessories
- Weak AC cooling and refrigerant leaks

Electrical faults this service handles
- Starting problems: slow cranking, clicking or no start
- Battery and charging faults, including a battery that keeps going flat
- Lights, indicators and dashboard displays that fail or flicker
- Electric windows, mirrors, central locking and other accessories
- Wiring, fuse and connector faults
- Warning lights linked to sensors and electronic systems
Air-conditioning problems
- Weak cooling or warm air from the vents
- Cooling that works while driving but fades at idle
- Low airflow even on a high fan setting
- A musty or unusual smell when the AC runs
- New noises when the compressor switches on
- Water dripping inside the cabin
Diagnosis before replacing parts
Electrical and AC faults are easy to misread. A new battery won't last if the charging system is faulty, and topping up refrigerant without finding the leak only brings the problem back. Each job starts by tracing the fault.
Electrical diagnosis
Depending on the symptom, this can include testing the battery and charging output, checking the starter circuit, reading stored fault codes, and inspecting fuses, relays and wiring. Fault codes point to the circuit or system involved, and the technician then confirms the exact cause.
Air-conditioning diagnosis
This can include measuring cooling performance and system pressures, checking for refrigerant leaks, and inspecting the compressor, condenser fans and cabin air filter.
Before you book
Tell us what happens, when it started, and whether a warning light is on. That shortens the diagnosis. If you're not sure the problem is electrical at all, start with inspection and diagnostics. If the car won't start and needs to be moved, flatbed towing can bring it in.
