Service overview
Flatbed transport for cars that have broken down, been in an accident or need moving.
Flatbed transport moves a car that can't or shouldn't be driven, after a breakdown or an accident, or when it needs to go from one location to another.

When to request flatbed transport
- The car won't start or won't move
- An accident has damaged a wheel, the steering, the suspension or the lights
- A warning sign means the car shouldn't be driven, such as overheating, a brake fault or a fluid leak
- The car needs to reach a workshop, inspection or repair
- You need the car moved between locations, including over a long distance
For a fuller look at the warning signs, read when do you need a towing service for your car.
Why a flatbed
On a flatbed the whole car rides on the truck bed, with no wheels on the road. That avoids extra strain on the gearbox and drivetrain and suits all-wheel-drive cars, low cars and cars with accident damage. Check your owner's manual for any towing instructions specific to your car.
What to have ready when you request transport
- Your exact location. Sharing a map pin is easiest.
- The make, model and colour of the car, and whether it's all-wheel drive, low or modified.
- The car's condition: do the wheels turn, is the steering locked, are any tyres or wheels damaged?
- Where the car needs to go.
- After an accident: whether the accident has been reported and photographed.
Preparing the car
- If it's safe, photograph the car from all sides before it's loaded, especially after an accident.
- Remove valuables and documents you'll need.
- Hand over the key, or tell the driver if the car can't be unlocked or put in neutral.
- Keep the transport receipt with your accident or repair records.
After the car is moved
If the car was damaged in an accident, the next steps are usually insurance claims and bodywork and paint. If the cause of a breakdown isn't known, book inspection and diagnostics.
